Is there a setup or onboarding fee?
No mandatory one. Plans bill monthly or annually with nothing due at signup, and self-serve setup via our videos and docs is free. The optional hands-on onboarding service costs US$500 per company (one-time): AI agent setup, catalog import, team training, and launch review, listed openly on the services page.
How does the free plan work?
Start on Free with no credit card. You get the full team experience: three seats, a shared inbox, customer memory, and one AI agent, capped at 300 contacts. When the pipeline outgrows the cap, upgrade from billing in the app.
What counts as a channel?
A connected WhatsApp number, Instagram account, or website chat widget. Each one counts toward the plan limit: 1 on Free, 2 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 5 on Business. Beyond that is the Custom plan.
Do I pay ChatAgent for WhatsApp message fees?
No. WhatsApp Business API conversation charges go to Meta. ChatAgent bills the platform subscription and AI credits.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from billing in the app. Stripe handles proration on paid plans.
What does annual billing save?
Annual billing is 10 months for 12 — two months included.
Do you sell Shopify, SugarCRM, or payment-gateway plugins?
No. ChatAgent does not ship native Shopify, marketplace, courier, or CRM-sync connectors. Products and knowledge live in ChatAgent; Meta catalog publish is available for WhatsApp.
