Chrome extension privacy

This page describes the ChatAgent for WhatsApp Web browser extension (the "Extension"). It is published so the Chrome Web Store has a public privacy policy URL.

Data the Extension uses

  • A ChatAgent session token and short-lived API token, stored only in extension storage (not in WhatsApp page JavaScript).
  • The active WhatsApp chat's phone number and display name, read from WhatsApp Web in order to match a CRM contact.
  • CRM records you already have in ChatAgent (contacts, conversations) loaded from ChatAgent's API after you connect.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell Extension data.
  • We do not send WhatsApp message contents to third-party analytics from the Extension.
  • We do not read your ChatAgent password in the WhatsApp sidebar.

Retention and control

Disconnect in ChatAgent settings or remove the Extension to delete tokens from this browser. Sign out of ChatAgent to invalidate the refresh token. CRM data remains in your ChatAgent workspace under the same controls as the web app.
